Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 19, 2026
This policy explains how Inara Integrative Coaching (“Inara”) handles consumer health data covered by applicable U.S. consumer-health privacy laws, including the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s consumer health privacy law.
Inara does not collect client health information through its public website.
Consumer health information described below is provided in connection with a client relationship through Inara’s secure client systems.
Consumer Health Data We Collect
Depending on what a client chooses to share and the coaching services requested, consumer health data may include information concerning:
- physical or mental health and wellness;
- fertility, reproductive or sexual health;
- pregnancy and family building;
- health conditions, symptoms, medications, testing, treatments or procedures;
- health-related documents;
- lifestyle, behavioral or wellness information; and
- other information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to the client and the client’s health or use of health-related services.
Where It Comes From
Consumer health data may come:
- directly from the client; or
- from a healthcare or other professional when the client has authorized the exchange.
Why and How We Use It
We process consumer health data as necessary to provide the coaching and related services the client has requested, including to:
- provide coaching and client support;
- maintain client records;
- prepare session notes and recaps;
- communicate with the client;
- coordinate with professionals when authorized by the client; and
- meet applicable legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements.
Coaching and program sessions may be recorded and transcribed for service delivery, creation of notes or recaps, and authorized internal professional training.
Participants do not receive session recordings.
If recordings or transcripts are used for internal professional training outside the client’s direct service team, identifying client information is removed first.
We may create de-identified information for education, research, quality improvement, presentations, publications, case studies, or outcome reporting.
Who Receives Consumer Health Data
Depending on what is necessary to provide the requested service or what the client authorizes, consumer health data may be shared with:
- authorized Inara coaches and personnel;
- service providers that securely process or store information on Inara’s behalf; and
- healthcare or other professionals the client has authorized Inara to communicate with.
The categories of consumer health data shared are limited to the information reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
Inara has no affiliates with which it shares consumer health data.
We do not sell consumer health data.
We do not provide consumer health data to advertising platforms for targeted advertising.
Third-party advertising services are not permitted to collect client health information from Inara’s secure client portal for tracking across unrelated websites or online services.
HIPAA-Protected Information
In some relationships, Inara acts as a business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”).
When information is Protected Health Information handled by Inara in that capacity, Inara handles it as required by HIPAA and the applicable Business Associate Agreement.
